Marc-Antoine S. Dupuis

Prof. Datagotchi is a robot professor who answers questions, in character, about what Quebec party leaders have said ahead of the 2026 general election. He does not guess: he quotes. Every answer rests on a verifiable corpus of interviews, press scrums, platforms and press releases, and the professor names his source rather than filling a gap.

Built at the Centre d'analyse des politiques publiques and the CLESSN at Université Laval, among the Datagotchi projects, he shares a classroom with the Vitrine démocratique and the Défi Datagotchi. I am one of its co-founders, and it went online in beta for the 2026 campaign.

Trained in comparative politics and political sociology, I am pursuing at the master's level a question left open by my bachelor's degree: how language and social position overlap in Quebec and Canada, and what public data can say about it.

My research project looks at social and linguistic stratification in Quebec and Canada: how language and social position — income, occupation, education — overlap, and how that overlap shifts from one census to the next.

I carry it out as a student researcher at the Chaire de leadership en enseignement des sciences sociales numériques (CLESSN) and the Centre d'analyse des politiques publiques (CAPP) at Université Laval, since 2026, using Canadian census data.

I enrolled in the Canadian Army Reserve in 2021 and now serve as a combat clerk in operations with the Régiment de la Chaudière, after a stretch as a human resources administrator in two regiments and a training centre.
